Understanding Patrol Service Costs
Owning a Nissan Patrol comes with responsibilities. Regular maintenance keeps your vehicle running strong and prevents expensive breakdowns. Here's what each service covers, and what moves the cost, for keeping your Patrol in top condition in Dubai.

Check what yours needs →Routine Maintenance: Every 10,000 km
A routine service covers an oil and filter change, tire rotation and balancing, and an air filter replacement. The oil type is the main thing that moves the cost, and we recommend synthetic oil for UAE heat. Here is what Y62 servicing and maintenance covers at the workshop.
Major Maintenance: Every 40,000 km
At 40,000 km, you're due for a cabin air filter replacement and a brake fluid check. The brake pads are inspected and replaced if worn, and the transmission fluid is checked or partially flushed. The biggest variable in what a 40k service costs is whether the pads need replacing.
Major Service: Every 80,000 km
The 80,000 km mark is significant. It covers a full transmission fluid and filter change, spark plug replacement, a coolant flush and fill, and a brake system inspection with fluid replacement. It combines several jobs, so ask us for a quote for your Patrol before you book.
AC Service & Refrigerant
UAE heat demands AC attention. Most cars need an annual AC gas refill and filter replacement. The cost depends on whether the compressor only needs servicing, with an oil and leak check, or needs replacing. A twice-yearly AC service in summer is an option worth considering.

Shock absorbers and suspension bushings wear faster in Dubai's heat. An annual inspection shows whether individual shocks need replacing or the car needs a full suspension overhaul with bushings and steering components, and that is what drives the cost. Budget for at least one suspension refresh every 5 years.
Brake Service
Brake pads typically last 40,000–60,000 km. The cost depends on whether the job is pad replacement, brake fluid bleeding and replacement, or a full brake overhaul with rotors and calipers. Always address brake issues immediately.
Electrical & Battery
Patrol batteries last 3–4 years in UAE heat. A battery replacement is the simple end of electrical work, while alternator service or replacement and starter motor issues take more. Wiring harness repairs vary widely depending on location.
Annual Budget
Your annual cost depends mainly on how many kilometres you drive, because that sets how often you reach each service interval. On top of routine maintenance, always keep some budget for major repairs and unexpected issues. If your Patrol lives in Abu Dhabi, what drives Y62 upkeep in Abu Dhabi is covered on its own page.
Pro tip: Preventive maintenance costs less than emergency repairs. A fluid change costs far less than a transmission rebuild. Track your service history and stick to manufacturer intervals.
